We are a curated marketplace for local makers, designers and unique small businesses.
What are MAKRS?
MAKRS consists of brands that make mostly handmade products. However we do also have some local designers and small businesses that fit our brands standards accordingly.
How do I find MAKRS local to me?
You can go to the big city pages where you’ll see only businesses local to that area. The other way is going to “store list” and filtering by city, radius, and what types of MAKRS you want to see.
How do I search for products?
There are several different ways for you to find something you are interested in. Firstly, there is a general search option on the top right corner of the website next to the “My Account” section. Secondly, if you are looking for a specific category of product, you can go to the drop down menus on the front page of the website and click on your preferred category. Once you are on a specific category page, you can further search for different types of products using the “Search Products” option. There is also an option to narrow your search to specific regions where the products were made using the “Location” option. You can narrow down your range of finding makers using the Radius slider to search for MAKRS in a radius of upto 200 miles of the location you entered.

How to purchase an item on The MAKRS Society website
Once you’ve found a product that you want to purchase, simply click on the add to cart option and select the quantity you want. You can then go to the cart by clicking on the cart button on the top right of any page of the website to see what you have added to your cart. Once you are satisfied with the items in your cart, you can then click on the check out option. This will take you to the checkout page, where you can see your shipping total and enter your shipping address and billing information. Once you have entered all your information, you can then checkout your preferred items.
What to do if you have a technical issue?
We hope to provide a smooth shopping experience for our customers and will provide the utmost attention to any issues you might be experiencing. There are several reasons why you might be having trouble with our website. Please first refresh the website to see if your internet service is functioning properly. How is this different from other marketplace websites?
There are two things that differentiate us from others.
- We curate our website. We make sure the makers, designers and small businesses are of the highest quality upon acceptance to our site. There are many factors we take into account before accepting a business on our website.
- You can shop local. Everyone wants to shop from businesses that are local to their area, so we have two ways of doing this. You can go to the big city pages where you’ll see only businesses local to that area. The other way is going to “store list” and filtering by city, radius, and what types of makers you want to see.
How can I change or cancel an existing order?
You may contact the vendor from whom you purchased your order to get more information on how to change or cancel your order. They will also be able to provide you with their specific exchange/refund policy.
How can I check the status of my order?
Once you have placed on order, you will receive an email confirmation from the vendor detailing your order number and shipping details.
How can I leave a review of a purchase order?
After receiving your order, you may go to the vendor’s page in order to leave a review of your order and purchase experience.
How can I create an account?
You can create an account in order to save your orders and billing information by going to the My Account page located in the top right corner of the page
How can I change my privacy settings?
You can access your privacy settings by clicking on My Account and going to the privacy section. You can then change your password and other settings
